Hopes for a haiku, dashed again.

1. A video of Romania's competitive street-racing culture takes me back to Paul Abdul videos and bobby-socks. Barely.
2. US soldiers team up with Romanian soldiers for the latest venture in Afghanistan.  
3. Romanian trains are slow and useless. 
4. The Romanian Foreign Ministry releases passports for "Romanians only".  
5. Journalist Sorin Stanescu sues President Basescu for slander. If it weren't so bourgeois, it would make a great haiku.  
6. Will somebody please ask these guys to stop making imbeciles of themselves?! Are they serious?
7. Sucu says the business environment is "dependent on signals from the state".... Does he mean signals in the form of subsidies?  
8. Thank goodness this turned out to be false.  
9. At least the local Romanian ice cream market is looking hopeful.
10. The US transports a large quantity of uranium from Romania to Russia for "safe-keeping".
